Studio Policies

Policies: 

  1. All Cancellations will be charged.  You are signing up for a time spot held for you each week.
  2. Teacher Cancellations will be made up at the discretion of the student.  If needed a credit will be put on the next month's lesson.
  3. Students should Practice Consistently!  This is the only way to learn!  Students are asked to practice Five Days a Week.  It does not have to be an incredible amount of time but the consistency of the days is really important.  I understand there will be bad weeks but 5 days is our goal.  
  4. Recitals are optional - We will hold our recitals with my other full instrument lessons company Mobile Music Academy.  It is a very nice event held in December and May of each year.

Holidays:

No Lessons will be held on the Holidays below

  • Labor Day
  • Fall Break – If you need a week off for Fall Break please let me know ahead of time.
  • Thanksgiving - the Sunday after
  • Christmas Break - December 20 - January 1st
  • Easter – Good Friday – Easter Sunday
  • Spring Break - Flex Break - Due to different school districts I just need to know when your Spring Break is.
  • If your lesson falls on another holiday and you wish to reschedule please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you

Piano

Piano Lesson Rates

All Payments must be made by the first lesson of the month by cash or check.  Please make checks payable to Jonathan Gaertner.

There are no contracts but students are expected to complete the current semester.

All Lessons are 30 minutes - For Longer lessons please contact me.

Studio Lessons: 
$25 per 30-minute lesson

There is a small rate increase every January.  Typically, this is $1 per 30-minute lesson.

All Student Cancellations are charged.  A Make-up Lesson “may” be possible but not guaranteed.  Cancellations on the day of the lesson will not be made up. 


In Home Lessons:
